  • We’re looking for a hard-working Commercial Finance Analyst to business partner with our Commercial and Marketing teams, you will provide insight and add value to commercial decisions made by the respective teams.

     

    About the role

    Working alongside another Commercial Finance Analyst and the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of ad-hoc requests that come in from the Commercial and Marketing teams.

    You’ll be a key finance support in the annual Cost of Goods review, working cross functionally with both people in your current team and the wider business to model and understand impacts of decisions.

    In this interesting and varied role, you will assist with the supplier income and marketing month-ends, reporting on variances to forecast/budget.  You’ll assist with the preparation of the quarterly forecast and annual budget numbers for supplier income as well as projected marketing spend. This requires working closely with the relevant business owners throughout the forecasting/budgeting timetable to deliver a cohesive number.

    You’ll be assisting in the preparation of finance input for the monthly report for the Commercial Director, covering all financial metrics and KPIs, that fall under the Commercial Directors responsibility.

    Our Finance team follows a hybrid schedule working in-office two days a week and remotely for the rest. Our in-office time is used primarily for team meetings and formal and informal collaboration.     About You

    You will have a track record of excellent attention to detail and be very comfortable working with Excel and PowerPoint presentations.

    A strong commercial awareness and business understanding is important in this role, you will also ideally be inquisitive with the confidence to challenge the status quo and ways of working.

    You will be a strong communicator who is able to work cross functionally and build credible relationships as a finance business partner and provides user friendly and useful information through financial analysis techniques.

    Must have intermediate to advance Excel skills demonstrating efficient use of spreadsheets, previous experience using accounting software and business reporting systems is advantageous.
